The birth of our vision

Who is Matildah

Matildah is a woman who has walked through deep childhood trauma — experiences of emotional neglect, rejection, and feeling unseen — wounds that silently shaped her entire life.

These early experiences set the foundation for years of attracting narcissistic people in friendships, mentorships, and relationships. Growing up without the emotional safety every child deserves left her over giving, people‑pleasing, and constantly trying to prove she was worthy of love. For a long time, she didn’t know why she tolerated mistreatment or why she kept ending up in the same painful patterns. But as she grew older, she began to understand: childhood trauma had written the script for her adult relationships. Yet, she refused to let her past define her future.

Her healing journey began when she finally confronted the truth — that healing required facing the little girl inside who wasn’t protected, who wasn’t heard, and who carried years of hidden pain. Through prayer, journaling, therapy-like reflection, and courage, she began breaking generational patterns and reclaiming her voice…

Today, she stands as a healed, grounded, and powerful woman who has transformed her pain into purpose. She created Healing Out Loud to give other women what she never had: a safe space to be seen, heard, understood, and supported
